ハーバードiLabにて：シリアルアントレプレナーからのアドバイス

ブログに反映するのが大幅に遅れてしまったセミナーが一つ。

9月27日にiLabで開催されていたものでテーマは「Where do ideas come from?」。現役の（という言い方が正しいか良く分からないけれども）起業家のスピーカーをお迎えしてのざっくばらんのトーク会。

スピーカーはGlenn Kelman。http://www.redfin.com/about/management 色々な経験を経て、今はこの会社の役員をしているらしい。その前も色々な会社を興したり、失敗をしたり、様々なエキサイティングな体験を経て学びを得て来た人のようだった。

彼が何度か言っていた、私にとって新しい概念があった。それはNegative Capabilityというもの。Capabilityはそもそも能力とか才能とかできること、を示すから、それが「マイナス」ってどういうこと！？って感じる不思議な概念。

彼はこれこそが「Essential capability of creativity」と言い切っていた。「zone of not understanding（良く分からない状態にいること）」「in anxiety（不安な状態にいること）」が重要なエッセンスであってそこに「Stay in it」とのこと。つまりCapabilityが不足している状況にいることの重要性。

目の前の起きている事象に説明や理由やカテゴリーをささっと付けて「おしまい」ってしてしまう人（Capabilityがあると思っている人）は可能性を広げる機会を自らつぶしているかもよ、っていうメッセージ。

良く分からないからこそ楽しい、ワクワクする。そういう考え方らしい。そういう姿勢を持ち続けるから多くの起業家達には常に前を向き続け進むパワーがあるのだと思う。

さて、彼のアドバイス一覧。そのまま記載。

• Pick a big idea, something you really care about
• You want to be thinking how you would sell them
• Don't build things if you can't sell them
• What can you sell even if you can't build it.
• Think in that order this is very important as an entrepreneur
• There are so many imperfections in the world. Find a problem that matters to enough number of ppl
• You have to love working on problems
• Need to be a believer
• Belief is underappreciated asset but it is what everyone has. Believe. Conviction and passion are under-appreciated.
• Speak from your heart and talk to people about it
• Focused on problem not the solution that helps recruit brilliant people
• With soul, heart, creativity sprit
• Do something that makes you believe that it will 
• Make the world better
• Remain curious in 360 way and meet people
